Author Tommy Murray will be signing and selling copies of his book on Monday, April 30 at 1:45 p.m. at the Alta Community Library Author Tommy Murray is a retired teacher that taught in the Minneapolis Public Schools. He and his wife, Mary Ann, live in Shoreview, Minnesota. The setting of his novel takes place in Rural Iowa during the 1970 baseball season. Murray’s novel “Fathers, Sons, and the Holy Ghosts of Baseball”, follows 14-year-old T.J., along with a band of misbehaving teens, and three cantankerous old coaches, trying to reach the summit of winning the state championship for Holy Trinity High School. He hopes to leave a legacy of devotion to church, patriotism and especially baseball.
